Flash Mob/Performance Team Practice

USA Dance Central Oklahoma Chapter Flash mob and Performance Team

 Instructor: Candi Boone

 Location: I-Dance

 Dates: March 10-Oct 6 for group lessons. (Exclude Easter, Mother’s and Father’s Days, OKCDreamcatcher Dancesport Weekend, Labor Day weekend)

 Lesson Time: Sunday afternoons from 2-4 pm

 Purpose: social and performance dance development and community outreach through demonstrations such as flash mobs and performances at local events and venues.



  1. All practices and performances must have sign in sheets with: personal liability, photo and social media waivers; member or non-member status; dates attended.
  2. Performances must promote USA Dance with a banner or handouts or other display of USAD logo. Photos and videos are encouraged for posting on USA Dance social media sites.
  3. All participants are encouraged to support the cause of USA Dance by joining the national organization, however membership is not required.
  4. It is expected that the USADance Official Flash Mob routine will be learned in time to perform during National Ballroom Week, Sept 20-29, 2019
  5. All participants are encouraged but not required to attend all lessons. However, if a participant is falling behind because of lack of attendance, it is up to the individual to get caught up to the group through individual study.
  6. All dancers must have a designated partner for performances


USA Dance provides:

1. Chapter support with volunteers to assist with marketing, organizing events such as practices, performances, possible guest coaches and social gatherings.

2. ASCAP music licensure

3. National recognition

4. Membership discounts to all USA Dance events (if a member of USA Dance)



1. Learn the National flash mob routine

2. Perform the routine during national ballroom week (chapter will organize)

3. Possible workshops with outside coaches

4. Performance routines developed by local instructor (Candi Boone)

5. Perform as desired and requested around the community, such as local retirement centers, schools, churches, studio showcases

6. Up to 50 group lessons included during the year

7. Volunteer led practice sessions when possible and as needed


Fee: (covers up to 50 group lessons)

Non-members: $85 per year.

Members: $ 60 per year (annual membership to USA Dance is $35)

Participants joining late will pay the same fee.

Fee must be paid in total to join regardless of how many lessons you attend
